Located on the banks of the Koornlands river, at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, Aan de Oever welcomes you.

Aan de Oever is a house built in the Cape Dutch style, an iconic style in historic Swellendam, the third oldest magisterial district in the Cape.

Aan de Oever has exquisite accommodation in thirteen elegantly furnished bedrooms and suits, each with its own bathroom and private entrance. Our country style breakfast is served on our sunny enclosed patio overlooking the mountains.

Breakfast includes fresh fruit juice, a selection of quality tea and coffee options, a hot plated meal and cold breakfast buffet. The buffet selection includes a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, a variety of muffins, yogurt and a selection of breads.

Aan De Eike Guest House

Situated on the main tourist road, or as we like to call it “the golden mile”, it’s close to the Drostdy museum, historic sites, shops, hiking and cycling routes.

Aan de Eike is perfect for a one-night stopover, group trip or corporate stay. It features eighteen bedrooms, one of these bedrooms is a family or group option with an en-suite bathroom and comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults.

Offering solar energy as renewable energy source and saying goodbye to loadshedding, this Guest House is tastefully furnished with all modern facilities.

Each room is individually styled but similar in size, comfortably sleeping 2 people with en-suite bathrooms. Majority of our bedrooms face the central swimming pool, garden and deck area and are set against the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg Mountains.

Aan De Heuvel Self-Catering Cottages

The cottages have fantastic mountain and town views. They have a warm atmosphere with big fold away glass doors onto the back ‘stoep’ and ‘braai’ area. 

Each cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a comfortable sitting area and open plan kitchen, the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Here you can play games around a large table, relax visiting with family or friends, have your meals and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. A small outdoor splash pool, deck and ‘braai’ area is perfect for cooling off while still being part of the conversation.
